Feeding and Learning Center

The high dropout rate, schools being closed for 8-20 years, poverty, long distances, lack of parental concern for children's growth and development and improving children's nutrition, as well as the high illiteracy rate among rural children prompted Tangan Pengharapan to initiate the Feeding & Learning Program (FLC). Rural children who are guided by Tangan Pengharapan receive quality education and free nutritious food which is routinely given 3x a week. With expectations that providing nutritious food can help them concentrate while studying and avoid malnutrition threats.
